Re: Prove
let r=6;
so the nos=1,2,3,4,5,6;
and i think 1*2*3*4*5*6 is divisible by 6
ha ha a fools solution
sorry arnav

Re: Prove
I triesd but couldn't prove
All i cud prove was that using PhP,we can put all r consecutive nos in 1 to 1 correspondance with digits in r!
it is going to yield me 2 out of 15 in RMO
Plz prove(or at-least give outline)

Re: Prove
well i had to prove it by mathematical induction..........
if u still want d proof then tell............
well ya i wanted to ask wats d date of rmo.........
ive not yet filld the form..........
hope to get it tommorrow...........
in the worst case.........
in the best ill lyk the date to have passed...........
well can we proove wid mathematical induction........in rmo.......

Re: Prove
why not
they acept all possible ways to prove
I also got the proof(by mathematical induction)
i was stupid in thinking it as combinatorics problem

Re: Prove
or probably binomial..........
nCr = n!/r!(n-r)!
=(n-1)n(n-2)(n-3).........(n-r+1)(n-r)!/r!(n-r)!
=n(n-1).......(n-r+1)/r!
=an integer coz nCr belongs to Z
hence
r!|product of r consecutiv integrs

Re: Prove
thats simple!
well the date of rmo is 9 november
hey can u help me with HORNER'S METHOD OF SYNTHETIC DIVISION
